Rev. Kara S. McCoy
Apostolic Ministry to the Apostolic Church
My Background
As a child, I had no greater desire than to become a minister. My father, Rev. Ronald King, was an assistant to our pastor, and I truly believed that God had called me to make a difference in the lives of the people around me. I attended Christian Life College from 1995-1999 and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree, and began working in the field. Fast-forward about 20 years, and I am now an ordained evangelist with the United Pentecostal Church International. I travel and work with people full-time, and I love it!
Me & Dad. So cute.
My Approach & Philosophy
I believe that God created each of us to be whomever He intended us to be. This means we all have our battles and pressures, faults and foibles… but we also were given wonderful and powerful inner qualities that reflect His love. Maybe you are an amazing artist, or a numbers genius, or a compassionate hand that helps others. While we sometimes get “stuck” on who we are, I love to help people focus on what God wants them to be.
The BEST way to begin to see ourselves in a more clear and appropriate light is to see ourselves through His eyes. God cares so much for us- and His word clearly tells us that He did not plan evil things for us… instead He planned good things for His children. We just need to keep our eyes on Him and our nose reading His book! He will direct our paths.
North American Missions Evangelist
As a NAM Enrolled Evangelist, I travel all over the country, working with audiences of all ages. Preaching, teaching, singing, outreach and whatever else the church needs!
I am also bi-lingual in American Sign Language and host a daily ASL Bible reading group on Facebook.
Apostolic Children’s Evangelist, UPCI
As an ACE member, I love to visit various churches, campgrounds and home missions plants around the country! We spend a significant amount of time working with the local church, on the streets, evangelizing, and helping to bring in the neighborhood for our services.
We have been traveling as the Children’s Revival Team since 2013.
XTeacher Training
Utilizing my many years of working with children as well as in the community, teacher training has become an integral and transformative part of the revival experience!
How do we endure the hardships of life? How do we recover when we may not even be aware that we are hurting? Each of us are individuals and the Lord works with us all individually. He cares about our needs and will help us to heal inside, no matter the hurts we may have faced. Tomorrow will be better!
Mentoring & Counseling
As we walk along the path of life, we will often develop questions and life situations that we seek help to understand or manage. When we discover someone who has walked that path before, and they are willing to share their experiences, it makes the journey easier.
Walking alongside others who are traveling this path of ministry allows us both to learn from each other, ask questions in a safe environment, and share the camaraderie of being in the field together. Field workers share knowledge, a common feeling of experience, and can make each other better by the knowledge they impart between them.
ASL and English Daily Bible Reading
Every day, we read one chapter of the Bible together over Facebook. These are public Groups and all are welcome to join them!

All readings are Video and Audio- they are preserved and can be viewed at any time. The format is the chapter being read, and then a quick recap/devotion.
We would love to have you join us!
